History:
The Crown Prince of the European state of Markovia, Geo-Force
possesses immense powers connected to the Earth. He is able to
manipulate rock at will, create lava bursts from his hands and alter
Earth's gravitational pull on himself and others. He is a commanding
leader, both of his people and of the Outsiders. He took over as
official leader of the team after Batman left. When the Russion
villain called the Bad Samaritan murdered an employee of the US
government mint foundation that printed Markovia's currencies and
stole some printing plates, Geo-Force led the team into Russia to
recover them, though as it turned out, it was all a clever trick
engineered by none other than Mikhel Gorbachev (who returned the
stolen money plates) to get an analysis on the powers of the Force
of July after they succeeded in capturing them at sea, and using the
data obtained to create their own super-team, the People's Heroes.
His father told him and Gregor while on his deathbed to do what they
could to defend the country, and also to look for the location of
their half-sister Tara Markov, alias Terra, who'd already been
inducted as a member of the New Teen Titans around that time. They
certainly weren't happy when they discovered that she was working
for Deathstroke the Terminator in what is now part of Marv Wolfman's
and George Perez's landmark run on the New Teen Titans, the Judas Contract storyline from 1984. But
nevertheless, Brion attended the funeral that was held for her after
she died.
Both his and Terra's powers were provided by Dr. Helga Jace, a
scientist in residence from Markovia, and otherwise only proved
effective with members of the royal family of the country. So when
the evil Baron Bedlam tried to undergo a similar operation, he could
not keep them for long, which happily enabled Brion to defeat him.
Following his brother's death in 1995, Brion assumed rulership of
Markovia, and married Denise Howard.
More recently, he helped the Birds of Prey, Black Canary and Oracle,
to defeat a gang that was controlling various heroes and criminals
alike.
